The Office of the Presidential Assistant to the Visayas (OPAV) and the Negros Oriental Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NOTF ELCAC) spearheaded the activity to complement the "Dagyawan the Barangay: Talakayan ng Mamamayan" event held in the city on Sept. 10.

The Dagyawan provided a dialogue between the residents of communities affected by insurgency and the officials of line agencies to find solutions to solve issues related to insurgency and also formulate possible steps for faster delivery of government services to the hinterlands.

The two activities are part of the strategies of OPAV and NOTF ELCAC to counter insurgency through enhanced delivery of basic services of the government and continuous engagement with the public.

OPAV leads the regional task force on ELCAC in Central Visayas.

Presidential Assistant to the Visayas, Sec. Michael Lloyd Dino, wrote a message for the residents of Brgy. Trinidad which was read by OPAV Executive Staff Engr. Ricardo Mendoza.

"Ang OPAV nagpasiugda sa programang Serbisyong Malasakit. Bringing the government frontline services closer to the people, especially to the poorest of the poor. It played a vital role in creating a close partnership between OPAV and other NGAs and LGUs streamlining the delivery of basic services to One Stop Shop," read Mendoza.

"Kining kalihukan karon sinugdanan pa kini sa pagpatuman sa mando sa atong Presidente. Kining maong administrasyon ni Presidente Duterte andam ug pursigido nga ihaw-as sa kalisod ang katawhan. Advancing people's welfare has always been the heat of the Duterte government and our main goal is to provide a comfortable living for all)," Mendoza added.

Negros Oriental Governor and NOTF ELCAC Chair Roel Degamo also assured the barangay residents that they can always depend on the government in improving their lives.

"After ining na programa, naa ta usa ka team na nag-assess ug nag-validate kung unsa na pod angay buhaton sa mga agencies para ma-sustain nato ang programa kay mao kining gisugo ni President Duterte ka namo (After this, a team will make an assessment on what agencies should do next to sustain this initiative. "Mao kining hiniusang kusog nga makahatag mi ug tinuuray na programa ug proyekto (This is a united effort to bring genuine and sincere programs and projects to you)," Degamo stressed.

With this, Brgy. Captain Luciana Montecino thanked all government agencies who brought their services to her constituents.
