No Zimbabwe pact unless Mugabe power is reduced
Trinidad News.Net Sunday 7th September, 2008
Zimbabwe's opposition Movement for Democratic Change has refused to sign a power-sharing agreement, saying President Robert Mugabe’s powers should be reduced.
Mr Mugabe has threatened to form his own government if the MDC does not sign up to a power-sharing deal to install opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai as prime minister.
But Mr Tsvangirai says there is no point in being prime minister if he is not given sufficient powers.
He says the President can resolve the political deadlock by calling a new election to be observed by foreign monitors.

Mugabe has tried but has been overtaken by selfishness
This President had tied to keep the country in tact but failed to read the direction of the political wind which wind actuating him to change leadership at the topm just like ANC in South Africa, Botswana. He forgot that time moves slowly but will certainly get there. He has made it worse for his children and wife who we say are innocent to a large extent except of late the wife. The leader still has wisdom to deal with volatile situations save for his violent inclinations. I suggest that he gracefully be the president, be in office once in a while but leave evrything to Mr Tsvangirai. He infact will come back to enjoy as was the case in 1980 when he came to power.
The army and the police are irrelevant as they have brought misery even to the people they lead. We dont need such minds like Chihuri, Chiwengas etc. We must let them go to their farms produce and that all.
